About

My name is Anthony. I am a die-hard sports fan – New York Yankees and the Indianapolis Colts are my teams (I know, interesting combination). I was born and raised in a small city in upstate New York called Kingston, mostly known for being the first capital of New York State.

I’ve been involved in sports since I was a kid. I grew up playing baseball and was fortunate enough to play baseball at the collegiate level. While entering college, I knew that I wanted to work in sports in some capacity. Originally, I was going to be the next voice of the Yankees – I wanted to be the Yankees play-by-play commentator. That quickly changed. I found that I love writing, telling stories.

I’ve written stories on athletes to show what they are like off the field, why they got into sports, and what motivates them. Now where does photography fit in?

While working at my college’s athletics communications office, I went to cover a volleyball game. And that’s when it took off. I was handed a camera and asked to shoot game photos to be featured on the athletics website and social media. I was hooked.

I bought my first camera that summer, went around shooting, learning my camera, watching YouTube videos, getting inspiration from anything I could find. I’ve always been a visual person. Hearing about something is one thing but seeing it is a whole different thing.

While I love shooting sports and that is my passion, I also shoot many other events as well. I’ve shot sweet sixteens, networking events, charity events, and much more. My goal with all my photos is to tell a story – especially in sports. Sports are so much more than just a ball, net, basket, bat, goal, etc. Look at the sidelines, the fans, the environment. Everyone has a story – what’s yours?
