About

My name is Anthony Sorbellini. I graduated from SUNY New Paltz, earning my bachelors in Journalism and I’m currently studying at Iona College, working towards my masters degree in Sports Communications & Media. Photography and writing have been my passions for as long as I cant remember. While attending New Paltz, I looked for ways to combine my love of sports with my passion for writing. I became an assistant with the athletics communications department, writing articles of the teams and players. Then one day, I was handed a camera, and that’s where photography took me by storm.

I’ve been shooting for over five years. And while I specialize in sports photography, I enjoy shooting all types of work. I’ve shot family portraits, portraits, landscapes, various types of events, and school plays. To date, I’ve worked with the NFL, NY Jets, NY Giants, United Way New York City, NY Liberty, WNBA, and the NBA G-League.

I take pride in my work. My biggest accomplishment has been the praise I received from players and family members of the Saugerties Stallions, a summer collegiate baseball league for high profile baseball players. I served as the Associate Director of Photography and Clubhouse Reporter for the Stallions the past two seasons. While with the Stallions, my skills as a photographer have grown, working alongside Director of Photography John Iannelli.

The opportunities presented to me have enabled me to grow with each and every event I cover. I grow from every job I’ve been hired for. My aim is to give my clients the best possible work and will work until it is perfect. I heard a quote from a photographer and found it applies to my work:

"I live out of the moment, so you can have your moment.”
